Betway Poker Network
Betway Poker Overview
- Betway Poker (formerly known as Gnuf Poker) has been a member of the Microgaming Network since 2009. Joining more than twenty other skins, has managed to hold down a reasonable number of players, with ring games filling quickly, and Tournaments running often.
- Betway is a member of the Microgaming Poker Network. That is a concern as the network has a history of ignoring issues with skins that are in financial trouble. When those sites fail, Microgaming never takes any responsibility. With that said, Betway is a safe MPN skin.

Betway Poker Lots of Variety, Support & Freerolls
Since 2006, Betway Poker has been offering card players worldwide a broad array of online tournaments and ring games from its home base in Malta. The Betway Poker web site uses English as its primary language, features US dollars as its main currency and runs on the Microgaming Poker Network (MPN). Both downloadable software and an instant play format are provided, so that players have the ability to place a wager from anywhere. Support is available 24/7 in 15 languages via live chat online, email or telephone.
Games to Play
Unlike many online poker sites, Betway Poker is not limited to Texas Hold’em as the only active game going. There are tables for all major poker variations, including Five Card Draw, Five Card Stud, Omaha, Omaha Hi Lo, Razz and Seven Card Stud. There is also the opportunity to participate in PokerBet, a fixed odds betting game based on Texas Hold’em, in which the object is to predict the winning seat at each stage of a Texas Hold’em Poker hand.
Betway Poker provides free online tutorials for each of its games, plus a series of eight free lessons to help new player perfect their knowledge of Texas Hold’em. There are web pages for Poker and Chat dictionaries, information on rake calculations and limits, and tips on security, too. And a six-part series of articles on tournaments tips can help any player improve strategy for any game.
One special feature at Betway Poker is the existence of “Anonymous Tables.” In the poker lobby, tables marked with an “A” icon next to them are filled by players with no names, so that nobody knows who anybody is. The organisers believe this is where the real players hang out—those “who love playing old school cards like an old school gambler.”
In keeping pace with the latest technology, Betway Poker also has its own Twitter account that is used to announce Freerolls, reload bonuses, free cash giveaways and more. It is complemented by a blog called Poker Diary, where “The Boss” can reveal the action that goes on behind the scenes, along with additional tips and insights to winning poker.
Bonuses to Claim
On top of the £470 bonus described above, as a newcomer at Betway Poker, each player is invited to take part in 12 different tournaments worth up to €6,000. The competitions are held weekly on Wednesdays and consist of six weekly €500 New Player Freerolls and six additional Turbo Tournaments worth up to €500 each for Added New Players within six calendar weeks after registration. Invitations are issued automatically up to 24 hours before the tournament start time. Although no deposit is required for the Freerolls, an entry fee of (€1 + €0.10 is required for each Turbo Tournament.
After joining, all poker players are also eligible for additional benefits through the New Loyalty Club, which provides members with personal recognition and rewards for playing at Betway Poker. The Club is fully integrated within the Betway Poker client and contains a range of features designed to improve the playing experience.

Loyalty Points are awarded automatically at real money tables at a rate of 10 points for every $1 generated in cash rake. The Loyalty Points can later be redeemed for cash, subject to a $10 minimum, by going to the Loyalty Points page in the poker software. The cash value of the points depends upon the status of the member who earned them. Loyalty Levels range from Blue to Bronze, Silver, Gold and Black, as determined by how many points were amassed in the preceding month.
